Where are you based?
I am a lifestyle photographer based in Houston, Texas. I typically photograph weddings and portraits in the Houston and Galveston area. However, I do travel, so if you want to take me somewhere, just ask!
What camera do you use and do you have back up equipment?
I am a Canon shooter. I use two camera bodies when shooting, as well as many lenses, flashes, as well as various other equipment.
Are you fully insured?
Yes I have public liability, professional indemnity and equipment cover. However as a bride and groom you should still have wedding insurance in place – it’s just a good idea.
Do you work alone?
No. I love my second shooter dearly, so I prefer to not leave them at home on a Saturday night.
How many times to we get to meet with you?
I will meet with you once for an initial conversation. This is just to see if we click (I know, I know, bad pun) and if we are right for one another. We’ll also meet again for any engagement and bridal sessions you choose, so we’ll become quite acquainted by the time your wedding day rolls around.
How do you conduct yourself on the wedding day?
I am naturally unobtrusive and capture the moments happening around me like a photo ninja. I am often mistaken for a wedding guest or a friend of the family because of how well I get to know my couples before the wedding day. However I do organize groups and compose shots when the need arises.
How many group shots would you suggest?
In my opinion too many group shots temporarily halts the wedding excitement. You need to allow 3-5 minutes per group shot so it is my suggestion to keep the number of different group shots to 10 or under.
Can I see an entire wedding that you have shot?
Absolutely! I have lots to show you. Even better, it’s just a web link away so you can see it wherever you open your email. These brides and grooms have kindly given their permission for this.
Do we have to feed you at the wedding reception?
Yes please! My second shooter and I work really hard to make sure your wedding day is perfectly captured and we work up an appetite! It doesn’t have to be a three course meal – a basket meal or sandwich is absolutely fine.
Now that the wedding day has past how long is it before I get to see my images?
Wedding images are guaranteed 90 days after the wedding date. However, you’ll usually get a sneak peek at images within a few days after the wedding so you can get a taste of what we got.
I like black and white images can I have some changed?
I deliver all the images in color unless one screams to be changed to black and white. Once you have viewed the images I can change any of the pictures to black and white, but there is a fee for this.
Can you make me slimmer? Can you whiten my teeth? Can you make me look younger?
Can I? Yes. Will I? No. You are who are and that is BEAUTIFUL! I would hate for you to get your photos back and not recognize yourself.
I got the online gallery link; now what do I do with them?
BACK THEM UP. Once you have the link, the images are YOUR responsibility So please make sure that you download them to multiple USB sticks or external hard drive. You can purchase prints and canvases through me whereby the quality, color and craftsmanship is guaranteed.
I really LOVE my photos. How best can I express my happiness?
For my business to survive and grow I rely on testimonials through reviews on Facebook, theKnot.com, and beyond. Please let me myself and others know about the fabulous experience you had with us!
